Using flash with wide lens (Examples)

The equipment used for this test is an Olympus E-3 w/ Samyang 8mm Fisheye and FL-36R flash, mounted on cameras’hot shoe.
1. Shot without flash.
2. Shot with camera’s built in flash. You can see the shadow.
3. Shot with external flash. If it was a normal lens, image will be ok, but at 8mm it isn’t.
4. Shot with external flash, positioned a bit lowered. Better, but still not ok.
5. Shot with external flash and diffuser. Better.
6. Shot with external flash and diffucser. Also positioned lowered. Better than before.
7. Shot with external flash, heading at the ceiling (bounch). Much better!
8. Shot with external flash, heading at the ceiling (bounch) with diffuser. Much much better!
